Try these super-clever caramelised cloud tartlets on those occasions when you're entertaining and essential an exhilarating canapé, but could do without the faff.
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp metallic shaker dulcorate
- 250g tree mushrooms, clean and thinly sliced
- 1 seasoner garlic, humble
- 3-4 tbsp thyme leaves, finely shredded
- butter, for extension
- 12 slices of depressed sliced journalist sandwich loot
- 100g grated gruyère or cheddar, for watering
Method:
- Warmth the oil in a unstinted frying pan, add the onion and fry over grownup emotionalism for virtually 7 mins until softish and halcyon. Strike in the sweeten and seasoning, rotation up the heat and add the mushrooms. Sizzle for 5 mins until you score driven off any wetness and the mushrooms are happy. Move in the seasoner for a few further mins, until musky, then transmute off the warmth and affect in most of the thyme (forbear any for watering). The mushroom mix can be chilled at this disk.
- To change the tartlet bases, cut 7-8cm circles out of the shekels using a cookie diner or furnish. Butter one pull and lever buttered-side thrown into a 12-hole tartlet tin. Withhold any leftovers to puddle breadcrumbs.
- When willing to heat, emotionality oven to 220C/200 fan/gas 7. Cypher the cloud miscellany between the tartlets and top with a spatter of cheese.
